In 2019, 15,000 children entered the foster care system in Georgia. With more than a decade of service in the area, the Valdosta ministry center prioritizes children in crisis by training churches and parents in best practices for the foster care journey. Whether it’s through monthly mentorship camps, church trainings or trauma therapy, the Valdosta center’s goal is to decrease the number of children in foster care while increasing the number of churches that are supporting foster families.
Send Relief's partnership with Camp Rock will allow teams of volunteers to share the gospel with these children, hep teach them valuable life skills, and also have fun playing different games and activities.
It is in this time of desperate need that you have the greatest opportunity to give practical assistance, make personal connections, and share the gospel.
What will you do:
Groups will have the opportunity to lead Bible studies and organize group games or activities. These activities can include teaching usable life skills (such as how to change a tire, cook food, read a map, etc.), educational activities (such as a fun science experiment, star gazing, etc.), or leadership skills activites.
Once you are registered, you will receive a series of emails with details regarding your event. We will equip you with the information you need to make your experience meaningful.
