In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and Send Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Monroe. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, organizations, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Bastrop First Baptist hub. The address is 620 E Madison Ave, Bastrop, LA 71220. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
First Baptist Church Bastrop desires to connect with and serve the community living near their campus in the heart of Bastrop. This event will have games, music, inflatables, and free food in order to continue to reach their community. A block party is more than just an event - it's an opportunity to bring people together, build relationships, and create a space where God's love is felt in a tangible way.
Volunteers will help with prepping, cooking, and serving food. They will set up and oversee games and several inflatables for families to enjoy. Volunteers will also engage in conversations with people attending to share the gospel and connect them to First Baptist Church. Lastly, volunteers will help with post-event clean-up.
