In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and Send Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Monroe. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, organizations, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Lakeshore Baptist Church hub. The address is 308 Lakeshore Dr, Monroe, LA 71203. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Partnering with New Direction Church, a newly planted church with a multi-cultural congregation in North Monroe, Louisiana, volunteers will connect with and care for a growing church community committed to reaching people from all walks of life.
Volunteers will assist with facility enhancement projects designed to refresh and improve the church’s space, including exterior painting of the building, interior painting and stage construction for the youth ministry area, and installation of a new basketball goal in the parking lot. Through these practical efforts, volunteers will help create a more inviting and functional environment for ministry while supporting the ongoing mission of the church to serve and reach the community.
