In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and Send Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Monroe. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, organizations, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Lakeshore Baptist Church hub. The address is 308 Lakeshore Dr, Monroe, LA 71203. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Serving with First Baptist Church of Swartz, volunteers will connect with and care for the local community by serving at East Ouachita Middle School and Swartz Upper Elementary School. Through landscaping and beautification projects, volunteers will help create more welcoming environments for students, teachers, and families.
Volunteers will assist with cleaning flower beds, removing old pine straw, replacing it with fresh pine straw, and planting new greenery where needed. Teams will serve at one school during the morning before moving to the second campus after lunch. This is an opportunity to support local schools in a practical way while demonstrating the love of Christ through service and encouragement.
