In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and Send Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Salt Lake City. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will check in directly at 2:00PM at Gospel Grace Church (662 E 1300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84105).
Project details:
Gospel Grace Church has ongoing relationships with families in a nearby refugee housing community, many of whom face language barriers, isolation, and limited exposure to Christianity. Gospel Grace Church will host a shared community meal to strengthen these relationships and invite families into a summer children’s outreach club where the gospel will be shared through consistent, relational engagement. This event serves as a bridge toward sustained ministry, discipleship, and spiritual care for refugee families in our city.
Volunteers will help grill food, assist children’s activities, provide hospitality, and hand out materials for future events with Gospel Grace.
