Serve Tour - Miami, FL

H7 - City Life Kix Prayer Walk (Fri)

2/6/2026 — 2/6/2026

In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Miami, FL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.

We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.

Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.

What will you do?

You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the First Baptist Homestead hub. The address is 29050 SW 177th Ave, Homestead, FL 33030. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.

Project details:

City Life Kix, a ministry of Youth for Christ, serves children and teens from elementary through high school in the lower-income communities of West Homestead and Florida City. Their heart is to ensure that every young person they encounter knows they are seen, valued, and filled with God-given potential. Through consistent presence and relational ministry, City Life Kix is planting seeds of hope and sharing the love of Jesus with students and families in these communities.

This prayer walk is an opportunity to come alongside City Life Kix by spiritually covering the neighborhoods where these students live, learn, and grow. Many families in this area face economic hardship, instability, and limited access to resources, making prayer an essential foundation for lasting gospel impact.

Volunteers will prayer walk through the neighborhoods of West Homestead and Florida City, intentionally praying for students, families, schools, and community leaders. Teams will pray for protection, hope, healing, and openness to the gospel, asking God to move powerfully in the lives of young people connected to City Life Kix. As they walk, volunteers may also have opportunities to offer prayer to residents they encounter and distribute information about City Life Kix programs and upcoming outreach events.

This project is a meaningful way to partner in God’s work by laying a spiritual foundation for continued ministry, trusting the Lord to bring transformation to hearts, homes, and the next generation.
