In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Miami, FL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the First Baptist Homestead hub. The address is 29050 SW 177th Ave, Homestead, FL 33030. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Summit South Church, formerly Movement Church, is stepping into an exciting new season, and the campus is ready for a joyful makeover to mark this fresh chapter of ministry. As the newest church presence in the neighborhood, Summit South desires to serve the community well and create a warm, welcoming environment for every family who passes by.
To help the church shine as a visible beacon of hope, volunteers will join together to paint the exterior of the building, giving it a clean, refreshed look that communicates energy, life, and openness to the community. A newly painted exterior will signal to neighbors that something new and life-giving is happening inside—and that they are invited to be part of it.
Volunteers will assist with prepping surfaces, painting exterior walls, and helping with general cleanup.
