In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Miami, FL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the First Baptist Homestead hub. The address is 29050 SW 177th Ave, Homestead, FL 33030. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Grace Connection Baptist Church is a vibrant, multisite, multicultural family of faith, and their Naranja campus in south Miami-Dade County is ready for a much-needed refresh. The campus building was graciously gifted to the church several years ago and has served the community for more than 50 years. The sanctuary is now due for an update that will help the church welcome new families and create a warm, inviting space for worship and ministry.
For this project, volunteers will help remove the old carpet, clear the sanctuary, and install new carpeting throughout the worship space. These simple but meaningful improvements will breathe new life into the sanctuary and prepare it for future ministry, hospitality, and community impact.
