Serve Tour - Miami, FL

R6 - Miami Youth Academy Basketball Court (Sat)

2/7/2026 — 2/7/2026

In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Miami, FL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.

We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.

Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.

What will you do?

You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Riverside Baptist Church hub. The address is 10775 SW 104 Street, Miami, Florida 33176. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.

Project details:

The Miami Youth Academy provides housing and structure for at-risk male youth under the age of 18 who are progressing through their program. Volunteers will partner with Riverside Baptist Church to demonstrate the love of Christ through practical service by improving and beautifying a space the students use daily.

The academy’s outdoor basketball court is in significant need of repair. The asphalt requires repainting and the backboards and rims need replacement. Restoring this space will not only enhance the facility but also create a more uplifting and encouraging environment for the young men who call the academy home.

Volunteers will assist with repainting the court surface, installing new backboards and rims, and helping clean and refresh the surrounding area. Your hands, your time, and your heart will give these young men a court they can be proud of and a powerful reminder that people care about them and believe in their future.

*Please note: For the safety and privacy of the residents, all volunteers will be required to undergo additional security checks upon arrival. A valid ID is required for entry, and phones and smartwatches will not be permitted inside the facility.

*Registration closes on February 4th or when the event reaches capacity*
