In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Miami, FL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Riverside Baptist Church hub. The address is 10775 SW 104 Street, Miami, Florida 33176. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
One More Child’s Miami campus serves single-mom families in its residential programs and provides support for foster families throughout the Miami area. To bless and encourage these families, the campus hopes to host a joyful Family Fun Day for both the on-campus residents and more than 40 foster families from the community.
The event will take place on the campus field and is designed to create a safe, fun environment where families can relax, connect, and enjoy time together. Bounce houses, outdoor games, and a barbecue-style meal will help make the day memorable for children and parents alike. Families will also receive a gift basket to take home, offering encouragement and resources to support quality time together beyond the event.
Volunteers will assist with event setup, running activities and bounce houses, preparing and serving food, welcoming and engaging families, and helping with cleanup. By serving at this Family Fun Day, volunteers will help foster joy, connection, and hope for families who need it most.
