In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Miami, FL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Riverside Baptist Church hub. The address is 10775 SW 104 Street, Miami, Florida 33176. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Gateway Baptist Church has impacted Miami with the Gospel for years, but is in need of revitalization. Over the years, much of the church campus has gone without proper maintenance, and the church is now working toward a comprehensive beautification initiative to restore its facilities and create a more welcoming environment for both members and the surrounding community.
Volunteers will serve by painting several key outdoor areas of the campus, including the small chapel/sanctuary, outdoor classrooms, and exterior doors. Fresh paint will greatly improve the appearance of the property, support the church’s revitalization efforts, and help Gateway Baptist Church communicate warmth, care, and hospitality to all who visit.
