In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Miami, FL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Estrella De Belen hub. The address is 510 E 41st St, Hialeah, FL 33013. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Hosanna Community Baptist Church has faithfully adopted Olinda Elementary School since 2008. With a student population where 99% receive free lunch, many children and families face significant material and emotional needs. The school has become a safe and trusted space for these students, and Hosanna Community desires to bless and strengthen that environment as a visible demonstration of Christ’s love.
This project focuses on improving both the appearance and safety of the school campus. Volunteers will assist with refreshing the basketball court and poles, painting rails outside the pre-K area, installing new safety cushions around the basketball poles, new nets for the basketball hoops, and a Gaga Pit. These upgrades will help create a more engaging, vibrant, and secure space for students and staff. Through this project, volunteers will help transform the campus and show the children of Olinda Elementary that they are seen, valued, and loved.
