In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Miami, FL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Estrella De Belen hub. The address is 510 E 41st St, Hialeah, FL 33013. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Estrella de Belén is launching a bold, community wide outreach designed to bring prayer, hope, and the gospel directly to the streets surrounding the church. The goal is to love neighbors in a visible, practical way while creating multiple opportunities for meaningful gospel conversations.
Volunteers will assist by lining the streets for several blocks, holding signs that invite passersby to stop for prayer related to their families, jobs, health, and personal needs. A food truck will be available to offer free meals, giving volunteers the opportunity to welcome guests, share the gospel, and show Christ’s love in a tangible way. Music and open-air preaching will help create a warm, worshipful environment for those who stop.
At the same time, another volunteer team will walk the nearby neighborhood, knocking on doors to greet residents, offer prayer, engage in gospel-centered conversations when possible, and leave church invitation flyers for every home.
Through presence, prayer, hospitality, and intentional conversation, this outreach will help Estrella de Belén share the hope of Jesus and build relationships with the surrounding community.
