In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Columbia. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
Please note this event occurs in the evening. Volunteers will not check-in at the hub in the mornings. Volunteers will check in at 3:30 directly at the project site. Check confirmation emails and reminder emails for the project address and any changes related to your project. Your project leader will give you instructions at check in.
Project details:
North Trenholm Baptist Church desires to serve local students and their families as a new school year starts. The plan to host a Back-to-School Bash on Friday evening during Serve Tour weekend. The goal of the evening is to provide a fun and welcoming environment for families in the surrounding area, while also creating intentional opportunities to share the gospel.
The block party will feature inflatables, games, and food, creating a festive atmosphere for children and parents alike. Volunteers are needed to help with various aspects of the event, from setup and games to hospitality and distribution of supplies. This is a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate Christ’s love through joyful service and meaningful community engagement.
