In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Columbia. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the NORTH TRENHOLM BAPTIST CHURCH hub. The address is 6515 N Trenholm Rd, Columbia, SC 29206. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
North Trenholm Baptist Church is deeply committed to reaching the families in their neighborhood, and they have a heart for serving the community. This prayer walk is a beautiful way to pray over the community and share the gospel.
Volunteers will participate in one of two ways: one team will go door-to-door in the surrounding community, offering prayer and sharing the gospel with those they meet. As prayer requests are received, they will be recorded and sent back to the church in real time. A second team stationed at the church will be dedicated to praying over the submitted requests as they come in. By volunteering, you will help build relationships, offer hope, and lay the foundation for future ministry and connection with the families in the neighborhood.
