In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Virginia Beach. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the London Bridge Baptist Church hub. The address is 2460 Potters Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
A dedicated church planter in Norfolk, is in the process of planting Port City Church—a vital new ministry in the community. As he pours his heart into establishing a church that will serve his neighbors, he also manages the demands of his own home and family. While he has undertaken numerous projects on his own property, he now needs some support to complete a special project that will bless his family and his ministry.
Volunteers will help building a new deck at this church planter's home, offering a space where his family can relax and refresh, while also creating a potential spot for ministry gatherings. The deck will serve as a place of connection for both his family and the church community, a place where people can come together, share life, and experience the love of Christ.
