In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Virginia Beach. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the FBC Norfolk hub. The address is 312 Kempsville Rd, Norfolk, VA 23502. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
At Brentwood Baptist, three separate congregations gather to worship, grow, and serve, and this block party is a way to celebrate and bless both the church and the surrounding community. A block party is more than just an event—it’s an opportunity to bring people together, build relationships, and create a space where God’s love is felt in a tangible way.
Volunteers will help create an atmosphere where neighbors can connect, families can enjoy time together, and all who attend can experience the warmth of a welcoming church family. Volunteers will help set up the event, serve food, run games, interact with those attending, and help clean up the event.
