In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Virginia Beach. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help local revitalized churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the FBC Norfolk hub. The address is 312 Kempsville Rd, Norfolk, VA 23502. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
CrossView Community Church is planting a new campus and desires to connect with residents in the neighborhood through genuine conversations, prayer, and personal invitations. In the morning, volunteers will go door to door, offering to pray for families, listening to their stories, and extending an invitation to something greater—community, hope, and the love of Christ. In the afternoon, CrossView will be hosting a block party.
This isn’t just an event—it’s an opportunity to show people they are seen, known, and loved by God. This event will be used to present the gospel to people, build community, and invite people to be connected with CrossView Community Church. Volunteers will help set up, run games, serve food, and tear down.
