In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Dallas, TX. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help revitalized local churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and, more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Mesquite Friendship hub. The address is 680, US-80 Mesquite, TX 75149. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Mesquite Friendship Baptist Church would like to welcome their community to the church through a block party. Mesquite Friendship's desire is to be intentional with their community and invite them to the church on Sunday and spread the good news of Jesus Christ to them. This block party will be an opportunity for the church to be visible in the community and to love on those who don’t know Christ.
The block party will have food trucks, bounce houses, Christian DJ, Snow Cone Truck, Popcorn, Games and so much fun. Volunteers will have the opportunity to be a part of prayer and evangelism teams to pray with the people and share the gospel. Volunteers will help with check-in for first time visitors and oversee serving food and games as needed. Lastly, volunteers will help with post event clean-up.
