In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in the West Virginia Coalfields. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help revitalized local churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and, more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Gilbert Creek Baptist Church. The address is 837 Gilbert Creek Rd. Baisden, WV 25608. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Gilbert Creek Baptist Church would like to serve and care for first responders in their community. In partnership with the church, volunteers will serve dinner to fire fighters and police in Gilbert. This has never been done before in this area. The local community center will cater the dinner, so volunteers will be there to show appreciation, encourage them and love on them.
Volunteers need to arrive to dinner setup by 4PM.
*Registration closes on April 17th or when the event reaches capacity*
