In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in the West Virginia Coalfields. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help revitalized local churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and, more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the New Covenant Fellowship hub. The address is 300 Kanada St. Logan, WV 25601. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
The City of Logan has a history of fierce violence, major disasters, and political corruption, as well as being a center of economic wealth. With a history such as this, The City of Logan and its approximate 1400 residents are in need of prayer.
Volunteers will prayer walk various parts of the city, praying for the citizens, employees, and the area as a whole; praying for economic stabilization, and revival. Volunteers will also be encouraged to share and evangelize those that they come in to contact with, sharing the love of Christ as well as tracts and possibly Bibles.
