Join us for a day of building friendships with those experiencing homelessness.
There will be four main ways we will do this:
Breakfast with Friends - We will be partnering with Miracle Mile Ministries to have volunteers serve and eat breakfast with those in the city who are experiencing homelessness.
Reaching out to Friends - We will be doing street outreach with members of Send Relief's Friendship Initiative to display friendship to the people in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard and to invite them to have lunch with us.
Party'ing with Friends - We will be putting on a block party in partnership with Simplicity Mission that will include a barbecue trailer, coffee station, and t-shirt screen printing table. There will also be music, games, and activities setup throughout the location.
Worshipping with Friends - We will be hosting an outdoor worship service with local worship artists and a guest preacher.
