In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Montgomery, AL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help revitalized local churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and, more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the Imago Dei at 45 Church Hub. The address is 6845 US-80, Hayneville, AL, 36040. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Jackson Steele Elementary is a nearby school with approximately 150 students that attend from grades K-5. We have been working with Jackson Steele for the past year and a half, ministering to the kids and teachers through various events and programs. The purpose of this project is to assemble some playground equipment that the school already owns and construct a shade canopy with benches for the teachers to sit under as they supervise the children while playing on the equipment. There may be some sod that would need to be laid, as well.
