In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Montgomery, AL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help revitalized local churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and, more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the FBC Montgomery hub. The address is 305 S Perry St, Montgomery, AL 36104. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
Helping a lady who lives right behind the church. Whenever the alarm goes off, either her or one of the residents comes over to check. Up until we came out to the neighborhood in 2019, she and her family admittedly hadn't been in church for over a decade. She's also requesting to be baptized now. We want to bless this lady and her family with some maintenance on their home.
Their bathroom and kitchen floors need to be fixed, the bathroom needs a new toilet, and they currently have a tub that needs to be installed. One bedroom might need a new door installed, as well. Serve Tour volunteers will be completing the repairs to the home, as well as installing the new items requested.
