In partnership with churches, associations, your state convention, and SEND Relief, the Serve Tour seeks to inspire you to engage in compassion ministry through participation in ministry projects in Montgomery, AL. Our plan is to find ways to meet needs and bless churches, schools, local governments, and compassion ministry non-profits. In addition, we want to strategically help revitalized local churches and bless bi-vocational pastors by providing assistance.
We want to make it easy to bring people together in Jesus’ name to make a difference.
Our goal is for the Serve Tour to become a unifying opportunity for Southern Baptists to demonstrate to a watching city who we are and, more importantly, who our Savior is. As believers swarm the city, we will provide pre-trip training guides and a 30-day prayer guide to help you take your next step on missions.
What will you do?
You will begin each day of Serve Tour at the FBC Montgomery hub. The address is 305 S Perry St, Montgomery, AL 36104. Your project leader will give you instructions each morning of the Serve Tour.
Project details:
H.O.M.E exists to provide an avenue of self-sufficiency for those experiencing, or in danger of, chronic homelessness and/or hunger. Various non-profits and service agencies have partnered with H.O.M.E. to provide easy access to applying for food stamps, Medicaid, SSI-SSDI, free government phones, medical outreach and legal aid, all under one roof. Proverbs 31:8-9 ~ Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Volunteers for this project will help with a block party that will be held on-site.
