Ashland, Kentucky is an extreme contradiction of natural beauty and urban industry, hometown hospitality with a “big city” feel in the middle of rural Appalachia. Hidden among the rolling hills and smiling faces is an undercurrent of poverty, illiteracy, homelessness, and drug addiction. The Send Relief Ministry Center in Appalachia is uniquely situated in Ashland, Kentucky, and serves 3 states; Kentucky, West Virginia, and Ohio.
The Send Relief Ministry Center works alongside local pastors, church planters, and other local Christian ministries with a variety of community engagements such as Food Distribution; Reading Assistance Programs; School Outreach / Day Camps and Assistance; Community Service, and Beautification Projects.
This center is also the Hub for Send Relief’s Crisis Response and assistance to The Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (SBDR) network.
